Helpful even on the first night! Easy to setup, easy to use. Fits smaller and larger dogs.
We have a puppy that barks a lot at night when we put her in her kennel (because otherwise she’ll tear everything up more and poop inside the house). We live in this duplex-like apartment complex and so it’s pretty easy to hear her barking at night through the walls. At first, we didn’t have to worry too much about others dealing with it since no one lived there for months. However, we recently got some new neighbors and I didn’t want to get noise complaints and/or have to give her up. *Her bark is bigger than her size 😅 haha*. I was very hesitant to purchase something like this and have always been against them.... until I realized there are safer and more humane versions (like this) of “bark collars” than the ones I had grown up seeing.. I received it in the mail yesterday and last night was the first time I tried it. It only took her a few barks to realize what the beeps meant. For most of the night she stayed pretty quiet, only after my boyfriend got up and left for work around 7am did she start barking again. But overall, I’d say it was a huge help! ****I will only be using this at night when it’s time to sleep and only for a few months until we move into a house.**** It has a test mode, and 5 levels of sensitivity (it also comes with a RECOMMENDATION Guide for what level to set it on based on the environment). It comes with: -Charging cord (you will need a USB wall adapter to plug it into) -Sensitivity Level Recommendation Guide -User Manual -2 Sizes of “prongs”(?) -2 Sizes of Protective Covers for the “prongs” (to help protect your fur-baby’s skin) -A Tester Tool/“Prong” tightening tool -A fairly long, reflective, nylon collar ( w/snap buckle) you will need to cut it to fit your dog, leaving just a little extra on the end for growing room - if need be - and a lighter to melt the end back together) **PICS INCLUDED** Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it’s neon green-ish and I didn’t see an option for color. Our dog is a girl and I would have liked to have a pink, or even a red for her. Lol but that’s just me being picky.
I have a dog that's harmless but barks whenever she seems someone new (or even when she sees someone she knows for the first time that day). This collar fits well and is not so heavy or big that it bothers her. It senses barking and first beeps, then buzzes if the barking continues, then emits a mild shock if the barking continues. I tested the shock on my hand and it didn't fee like much at all - maybe the surprise or the feeling of mild shock on a dog's neck is what turns them off. I think you can also adjust the barking-sensor sensitivity, but it's been a while since I used it. For a couple days, she barked like normal, seemingly ignoring the beeps and buzzes and possibly sometimes shocks. Then she starting looking worried when she heard the beeps, so I think it was working. I noticed her barking was reduced, but not gone. I stopped using the collar, but probably should have continued using it until she had completely changed her habits. Please know that this kind of training tool should be used to train, not to live on your dog at all times forever. Really, your dog should only wear it while activated when you are present or able to monitor the situation.
First gave a 5 star but down graded to 1, this is the second collar I bought, the first crapped out after 2nd time I charged...this collar worked a few months and now will not work properly, it will beep and vibrate bu will not shock. This is made in china and is not made to last, they're products are not made to last very long and I have a 65lb dog so be careful with your money!
I have a Black Lab that barks almost constantly (he is 14 years old) and his bark is low pitched. The collar did not pick up on all of his barking, even though it might be constant. I think (my opinion) that it does not recognize the low pitched bark. My little Maltese can be standing near him and start barking and the collar goes off. I cannot use one with a remote because my Maltese goes crazy, guess she hears the frequency. I had really hope it would work as I like the concept. I even set for the shock setting and used 5 level on sensitivity. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
After reading reviews on multiple similar products, I elected to try the Lipet Bark Collar for the two problem barkers in my four dog household. Citronella collars had worked on previous dogs, but my current dogs figured out they could bark them empty pretty quickly with an extended volley of vocalization. I like the fact that the Lipet has multiple sensitivity settings and you can personalize the beep/vibrate/static settings for specific dogs or situations. It is user friendly, easy to set up and program. I've already ordered another collar for problem barker number two, expect delivery today.
After buying 2 other ones , this finally does The work maximum 3 backs and my dog stops barking I do recommend this product and also is half the price .It works good.
