After just a few months this collar completely stopped working. Remote and collar both turn on and are charged but does not beep, vibrate or shock. Huge disappointment. I feel that the beep function never worker properly for my Malinois/German Shepard mix. Purchased a more expensive collar for my dog he now responds to the lowest level of stimulation, often a beep with the new collar is all that is necessary. This collar, we had to move into the mid-range vibrate/beep to get a response from our dog. Not happy with this product at all. Wish I could get my money back.

Very Effective Training Tool
This is a very effective training tool. Our K9 teams are very discipline from the start, many hours of on lead training. However when a K9 is working at distance, it gives the Handler the ability to communicate with the Working Dog via the beep (audio) & vibrate (tactile) options, to recall or redirect the Working Dog. There is a "shock" option but we very rarely us it. Most of our teams don't even have the contact points installed at all. During apprehension training we have used the "shock" mode (very low threshold setting) to encourage specific Working Dogs to release the wrap. Usually after one or two applications of the "shock" mode (very low threshold setting) to encourage the Working Dog to release the wrap, we then replace the reinforcement of a verbal command with just the vibrate setting (tactile), with great results.
